Where do I start! The mobile phone recycling industry has been growing at an exponential rate over the last 4 years. Thanks to the huge awareness created by some of the top players, the market has now seen a rise in companies offering cash for old mobile phones. The competition which includes small retailers, virtual retailers, exporters and wholesalers are all watching the prices they offer for used mobile phones on a daily basis at least if not hourly!

But does this mean better value for the end customer who wishes to recycle their mobile and tablet devices or the potential devaluing of phones…

Well, one way to look at it is how you value your time. There are various ways to sell your mobile such as recycling through a mobile phone recycling website, selling it on eBay or visiting a market stall mobile shop and selling it there.

If you have the time, it’s worth the research and then selling it to who offers the most. However, if you want a quick deal, then then easiest way is to send to a recycling company. You may receive a little less than what you might get on eBay for your mobile, but you have saved the time and effort of listing, posting e.t.c

Mobile Phone Recycling companies such as Money For Your Phone, send you a freepost envelope, you literally need to put it in the bag and post it. All the hard work is done by them and the only thing you need to do is monitor your emails with notifications on the progress of your order.

Always ensure you remove private data from your device and take out your simcard. It is incredible how people forget to do these things. Other little things such as entering your bank details accurately when creating the order are all worth double checking.

If you are unsure of which recycling company to use, then visit a comparison website mobilerecyclingcomparison.com which can show you who pays the most.

So pick the finest way to sell your mobile that suits you and your time.

A Chinese manufacturer ZTE is now looking to challenge the top-end of the smartphone market by releasing the ZTE Grand S, which is their latest flagship device.

ZTE are currently looking to launch their latest handset in China in a few month’s time which is also set for a global release although no exact date have been announced or the regions in this particular case.

The Grand S is part of ZTE’s top-end handset range such as the Grand X and the Grand Era, however the Grand S seems to be their main focal point.

What’s fascinating is the specification that comes with the ZTE Grand S which looks to be a blockbuster. The handset comes with a full HD5-inch display, 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera, 4G connectivity and the latest Android Jelly Bean as this is all packed into a framework which is just 6.9mm thick.

The handset visually looks to fit into the smartphone market quite easily as ZTE has decided to wrap the handset in a polycarbonate shell which gives the phone a premium look as it also sits into your palm nicely thanks to its slightly curved back.

As standard the handset comes with a MicroSIM port which is located on the right hand side, covered by a flap. On the left hand side, ZTE has provided a MicroSD card slot if you wish to expand on the 6GB of internal storage that is already available.

1080p video playback display has almost become the must have feature for all new smartphones, as predicated ZTE have also joined the bandwagon. However it’s disappointed to find that the handset displayed faded colours and a lack of details as many other HD handsets seemed to display better quality playback.

However ZTE has promised its customers that the Grand S will provide excellent battery life much thanks to its power efficient Snapdragon S4 pro chip which is used to pull the strings behind the scenes.

Money for your phone is a mobile phone recycling company, they are happy to accept any of your mobile phones if you wish to sell or recycle your phone. You can also sell mobile such as an iPhone 5 for cash.

Over the years Apple has had issues with their handsets, for example do you remember the Antenna-gate? Or even issues with the iOS 5 regarding the battery.

Below I have listed a few common problems that people have been complaining about the most online and around the word, which can be fixed or avoided before you decide to give up.

Scratches on the body

Since the day of launch, many customers have complained about their iPhone 5’s anodised aluminium casing getting scratched and scuffed very easily. Many customers discovered that the coating was easily scratched off around the edges and found chip marks on the back panel, revealing the silver aluminium underneath.

Reports also started to emerge quite quickly as number of customers found their iPhone 5 to have scratches upon purchase.

An e-mail from a complaining customer was responded by Apple’s marking boss, Phil Schiller, as he replied: “Any aluminium product may scratch or chip with use, exposing its natural silver colour. That is normal.”

Solution:

Supposing your handset contains no scratches on arrival then it is a good idea to invest in a bumper or go hunting for an iPhone 5 casing. If your handset does get scratched then you could always polish off the coating to form a sliver highlight around the edge.

Random purple glare on your photos?

It is said that the iPhone 5 is supposed to have the best camera available on the market currently, however many customers have reported a strange purple glare appearing on their photos. The purple glare seems to appear when there is a strong edge or out-of-scene light source. The regular lens flare effect we’re all used to appears to have a purple hue when using the iPhone 5 camera. This strange purple glare is more noticeable when you compare it to other cameras such as the iPhone 4S.

Solution:

Because of this emerging issue, Apple released a support document to explain to its customers that, “Moving the camera slightly to change the position at which the bright light is entering the lens, or shielding the lens with your hand, should minimise or eliminate the effect.”

My screen keeps flickering

Another common problem faced by customers is the screen flickering on the iPhone 5. This glitch is reportedly likely to appear on the virtual keyboard in the App Store when users enter their password to purchase an app. The flickering lines appear across the bottom of the screen above the keyboard although this a small issue.

Solution:

The solution for this problem is relatively easy, it is important to have your iOS updated to the latest version as these updates are released to combat software glitches to provide you a better usability experience. You can simply visit Apple’s website if you are unsure about the updates available as the updates generally explain what issues have been fixed.

My touchscreen is not responding

One of the most common problems reported by customers is the iPhone 5 touchscreen not responding when you drag your finger forwards and backwards diagonally across the screen. It is also reported by the users that the touchscreen is completely unresponsive and sometime goes blank for a few seconds.

Complaints have also started to emerge about the touchscreen responding to touches when the user hasn’t touched that part of the screen. Although this is not a widespread issue, it is something that needs to be addressed by Apple.

Solution:

If you are experiencing serious issues with your iPhone 5 then it is a good idea to take it to your local Apple store and show them the issue as they could give you a replacement. You could try resetting or restoring your iPhone 5, but this would be most likely a hardware problem, so getting a replacement would be the best solution.

Money for your phone is a mobile phone recycling company, they are happy to accept any of your mobile phones if you wish to sell or recycle your phone. You can also sell mobile such as an iPhone 5 for cash.

Many smartphones are generally easy to use and a problem-free, but once in a while something goes wrong. Customers would take their handset to their local mobile phone shop to fix an issue that could have easily been resolved at your home rather than paying anywhere from £25 – £70.

Below I have listed 3 common smartphone problems that can be easily fixed.

My phone isn’t charging

If you have ever tried to plug your handset in and the device doesn’t recognise the charger, then there are two possible easy solutions that you can try.

One, the port that is used to plug the charger in could be dirty. As many people put their smartphones in their pocket or in a purse it can easily collect dust over a long period of time. To fix this issue, you simply turn the handset off and carefully spray a small amount of duster over the port. The duster is an effective tool that forces dust out of the plug to have a clean and unblocked port.

Two, in some cases the charger itself isn’t fitting tightly enough in the port. This commonly happens when a user is on the phone to someone while it is charging or having the handset plugged in at an uneven angle. In most cases the charger itself is the issue and not the handset. Using another charger can usually solve this issue before thinking about buying a new handset.

I dropped my phone in water

It is very easy to drop your phone into a puddle of water and in some cases it is too late to react after realising there are solutions available. If you act quickly, there may be some time left to save your phone. As soon as your phone gets wet, dry it off with a clean towel and place it into a bowl of dry rice, making sure the handset is fully covered. Leaving your handset over the night in a bowl of rice will absorb the moisture from the handset and will enable the phone to start working again.

My camera or video recorder has stopped working

This is also another common smartphone problem that occurs once in a while. Unexpectedly the camera will not turn on or the video recorder won’t start recording. As the camera is a built-in feature, most customers assume it is a problem with the hardware and have the device replaced; however this could have also been a problem with the handset’s software. Before you decide to purchase a new handset, it is a good idea to have the handset restored on your phone and make sure your operation system is up to date. Rebooting and updating your operating system can also fix the problem and may help your camera to start working again.

Money for your phone is a mobile phone recycling company, they are happy to accept any of your mobile phones if you wish to sell or recycle your phone. You can also sell mobile such as an iPhone for cash.

Reports from Samsung’s homeland, Korea, have claimed that the company may be planning to produce an even larger version of its Galaxy Note phabelt. If sources are true, according to the Korea Times, the Galaxy Note 3 will have a huge 6-3inch display, 0.8 inches bigger than the current Galaxy Note 2 phablet.

What’s more interesting, the reports have also suggested that the world’s leading smartphone manufacturer will use this opportunity to announce its next-generation eight-core ExynosOcta processor.

Samsung’s current phablet, Galaxy Note 2 currently runs on a quad-core Exynos chip, which is fast consideringwhat is available in the current market. With the next-generation eight-core processor this would provide even more power and importantly considering the larger screen, enhanced battery life.

Reports also revealed that Samsung is pitching its processing products to huge smartphone manufacturers in China, in order to lessen its dependence on Apple. Samsung has already been in talks with Huawei and ZTE who’re beginning to make huge success in the west.

A representative of Samsung official is reported to have said at CES: “We have introduced the Exynos 5 Octa to appeal to Chinese clients and diversify our client base in China with better pricing and output commitment.”

An anonymous Huawei official confirmed the companies are in a middle of a discussion. He said: “Yes, we were approached by Samsung. If the firm offers favourable conditions, there’s no reason to deny the new business.”

Google has announced the launch of a beta channel for its Google Chrome for Android browser. For all you android users, you can now get early access to new features however the beta versions will understandably not be quite as refined as the stable versions are released.

The current beta available is up to 30 percent faster in completing some benchmarks and offers a number of HTML5 features like CSS Filters that aren’t available in the stable version yet. Google has also warned that it’s a bit slow on the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S.

As Google Chrome technical program manager Jason Kersey warns users in today’s announcement, “just like our other Beta versions, the new features may be a little rough around the edges, but we’ll be pushing periodic updates so you can test out our latest work as soon as it’s ready.”

He also highlighted that Chrome for Android now “benefits from all the speed, security and other improvements that have been landing on Chrome’s other platforms”. If you wish to test drive The Chrome Beta, its available today for phones and tablets running Android 4.0 or later.

Money for your phone is a mobile phone recycling company, they are happy to accept any of your mobile phones if you wish to sell or recycle your phone. You can also recycle Google Nexus 4 or Galaxy S3 for cash.

The two photos of the QWERTY BlackBerry X10 appeared on the Crackberry forums after being leaked on the social photo-sharing site Instagram.

Then a day later, the Austrian site Telekom-Presse then revealed the first hands-on video with the touchscreen-only handset, BlackBerry Z10, unavailing additional details on the smartphones hardware.

Turning our attention to BB10 X10, as there were no specification yet available, from looking at the pictures we can confirm that some of the traditional BlackBerry buttons seem missing but those functions will mostly likely be available on the touchscreen.

As for the BlackBerry Z10, the video published was a little more revealing as it gave us a glimpse of the phone’s hardware as well as the BlackBerry 10 OS itself. (The link of the video is provided below)

It was rumoured that the handset would be equipped with a 4.3 – inch screen, however in the video the Z10 was determined to have a 4.2-inch HD screen, slightly smaller. According to the German-language narrator within the video, it was found that the handset is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor with 2GB of memory. RIM has also built in 16GB of storage, with the handset weighing roughly 125g.

It was also reported by RIM that 15,000 BlackBerry 10 apps had been submitted which said to be ready for the launch thanks to a RIM-sponsored developer “port-a-thon”, while RIMS new flagship handsets will be diverse enough to cover all price points.

BlackBerry Z10 Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lRw32eVaTlo

Selling of old mobile phones, which are uselessly lying around might be a very smart option. Here’s why!

1. This will help you get rid of the obsolete phones that you still have stashed in some corner of your house. If nothing significant, you can at least clean up that space and use it for something more important.

2. Selling your old phone, which is not at par with the latest technology, gives you the option to buy a new more advanced phone which serves your purpose more appropriately.

3. Old phones which are still in working conditions can help you earn some good amount of cash, which you can be of good use to you. Some online companies offer prices as good as £250.00 – £300.00 for old phones.

4. Phones which aren’t functional any more can be sold out so that they are recycled in the apt manner. Recycling of phones is an imperative activity as it helps conserve the environment, by avoiding wastage of precious metals that are used for manufacturing mobiles.

5. Old phones can be easily sold off to a company that deals in buying these. Such a company generally sends these phones to the manufacturers. The phones are then refurbished and sold off for reuse.

So, if you want to sell your phone for one or more of the reasons stated above, just go online and search for a company that offers you the best deal, and you are good to go.

Mobile phones, if left to decay, pose a threat to the environment. Mobile phones contain toxic metals like lead and mercury, therefore; they should not be allowed to decompose in an inappropriate manner. This makes it very important to recycle mobile phones in a responsible way.
The easiest way to recycle a mobile phone is to sell it to an online shop which deals in recycling of mobile phones. By and large, there are three feasible ways that these companies use to recycle the mobile phones. Either these phones are refurbished by the manufacturer and sold in the market again; or, they are completely broken down into the component pieces, which are then used in other phones. Alternatively, such phones are sent to the less developed countries of the world. These refurbished phones are easily accepted in these countries, pertaining to the low level of technological advancement.
With so many benefits related to recycling, it is worth the time and effort to recycle your phone. This way you can earn some money from your old phone while doing your bit for conserving the environment. So do not wait any longer. Just go online, search for a website that facilitates mobile phone recycling while paying reasonable money for your phone.

Recycling of mobile phones is an imperative exercise. It is becoming increasingly important because of the need to conserve the environment.
So, if you are thinking about recycling your phone, do not forget to pay due attention to some important things. Firstly, before sending your phone for recycling, make sure that you have removed the SIM card. The SIM carries your phone number, contacts, text messages and other information that might be personal.

Then, remove the memory card from the device, so that all the exclusive pictures, videos and files remain safe with you and do not land in the wrong hands. It is also advisable that you reset the phone to the factory settings. This will help remove any login information, email-ids and passwords stored in the phone.

Lastly, you must ensure that you have removed any PINs used by you for the security of the phone. Taking care of the above mentioned points will help you in safely disposing your phone, and it will also make it easy for the recycler to either refurbish or break down the phone for recycling.
