The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - It's bigger and better

The first Samsung Galaxy Note made some impressive sales selling 50 million in just 5 months. Now Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at the IFA 2012. Here’s what you can expect from the Galaxy Note 2.

The Galaxy Note 2 takes inspiration from the looks of the Galaxy S3 which is a big difference from the original Galaxy Note however, it’s much thinner at 9.65mm but heavier at 180g. Now, looking at the size, we can officially say that the Galaxy Note 2 is bigger with a 5.5-inch 1280×720 HD AMOLED screen compared to the 5.3-inch screen on the first Note. So, the Note 2 is more movie-friendly with its 16:9 screen ratio. The Galaxy Note 2 will come with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The camera is more or less the same but comes with extra features found on the Galaxy S3 including Buddy Photo Share, Burst Shot and Best Photo. The Galaxy Note 2 will be available in 16, 32, and 64GB versions with MicroSD card support which is expandable up to 64GB.

The S Pen has made its way back on the Galaxy Note 2 but is now improved with a better grip, a rubberized tip for greater friction on the screen and increased pressure sensitivity for greater accuracy. The pen now features S Pen Air View which allows you to hover the stylus over content like emails allowing you to view them without navigating away. It also has Easy Clip which means you can edit images and add personal messages. There’s also PopUp Note which brings up a window anywhere anytime.

The Galaxy Note 2 will come with a monstrous 3100mAh battery which should prologue the multitasking capabilities.

Now, there’s no price yet but we know that it’s going to be released sometime in October 2012.
