HTC One X has been out for a while now and has seen a few new updates to improve the battery life but now it’s going to get a new update which will allow users to connect their handsets to HTC Connect-enabled handset and consumer electronics that will allow users to have the best wireless media experience.
Similar to Apple’s AirPlay the HTC Connect will ensure that there is a seamless connectivity process between the handset and consumer electronics.
The first handsets to receive the HTC Connect will be the HTC One X series, including the HTC One X, One S and One V through a software update later this year.
Now you’re thinking hang on, what devices are there that have the HTC Connect feature? We can tell you that Pioneer Electronics, a Japanese consumer electronics firm will be the first partner to join the Taiwanese Manufacturing project, who will be bringing out HTC Connect enabled devices later this year including DLNA-capable audio/video receivers and wireless speakers.
Kouji Kodera, chief product officer of the HTC Corporation said,
“The vision for HTC Connect is to allow our customers easily to stream their favourite high-quality video and audio from their smartphone into their home or car. We’re also excited to announce Pioneer Electronics, a leader in the audio and video industry, as our first partner to demonstrate the initial HTC Connect certified audio experience for consumers.”
