The New Windows Phone 8 Operating System

Microsoft has revealed some new features of what you can expect in the Windows Phone 8 Operating System. We can tell you that it’s much better.

A new improvement of the Windows Phone 8 Operating System is the improved shared cores. This means the Windows Phone 8 shares the kernel, drivers, security, graphics and more with the new Windows 8 for the computer. Thanks to its shared kernel, the Windows Phone 8 supports multi-core processors. It also means that it will support higher resolution such as WVGA (1280×720) and WXGA (1280×768).

Windows Phone 8 will come with Internet Explorer preinstalled which is similar to its desktop counterpart. Internet Explorer on the phone will have improved JavaScript, security features and HTML5.

The new Operating System for the phone will support NFC (Near Field Communication) which allows you to transfer files between two Windows 8 devices. The NFC support will eventually allow you to replace a lot of things in your wallet. According to Microsoft the NFC will be better than Google’s wallet as the security will be handled by the sim card instead of the phone itself

Another improvement is Nokia’s mapping technology which will replace Bing. The map data will be stored allowing you to use it offline.

The main feature of the Windows Phone 8 is the new Live tile sizes. Users will be able to change the sizes of each tile and the size of the tile will change the functionality it offers.
